I currently subscribe to TaxFind. When will I be able to access the online version? |

All subscribers to TaxFind will gain access to the online version upon renewal of their TaxFind licence. |

What will be the advantage of using TaxFind Online? |
| A. |
There are several advantages: |
| |
1) More frequent updates to the online version. With the CD-ROM mailed twice a year, updates only occurred every 6 months; the online approach will allow us to update the data more frequently long before the CD is reproduced.

2) No more issues with lost CDs or CDs expiring before being updated – or both, just when you really need to use it.
|
| |
3) Additional material will be added to the online version. As the CD is getting close to capacity, we are only adding the conference and journal updates; the online version will have more historical information (indexes, selected papers prior to 1991) as well as Tax Papers 69 and 71.

4) TaxFind Online features 3 search forms—Advanced, Boolean, and Custom—allowing the user to choose a search method quickly and easily. Results are displayed in the Table of Contents similar to FolioViews. In addition, the results are displayed by article, which you can sort. |

Our firm has a network licence. How can we gain online access for all users included in the network licence? |
| A. |
All network licence holders will require that their contact person advise the Foundation of the TaxFind users in their firm. Each of these users must have a membership record where the system will verify that they are part of the licence. The contact person may or may not be one of the users, but all users must have a membership to the Foundation. |

Will the Foundation still provide TaxFind on CD-ROM? |
| A. |
Yes. The time frame for the Foundation to continue to provide CDs to subscribers has yet to be determined. |

Will TaxFind Online still link to the Income Tax Act provided by CCH, Carswell, and the CICA? |
| |
Unfortunately, this is one area that technology has not yet addressed. There are barriers to trying to link to websites and limit access by user ID and password. However, once this becomes possible, the links will be re-activated. |
