The Canadian Tax Foundation-Jean Potvin Award for Quebec 2000-1

Marie-Pierre Allard

We are pleased to announce that Marie-Pierre Allard is the winner of the 2000-1 Canadian Tax Foundation Jean Potvin Award for Quebec for the best paper submitted by a Quebec student on matters affecting the Canadian tax system. Ms. Allard wrote the paper "Effet rétroactif des obligations conditionnelles en droit fiscale" as a student in the Université de Sherbrooke Master of Taxation program, from which she graduated in 2001. She was also honoured for scholarly excellence in 2001 with her appearance on the Dean's List. She obtained her LLB from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1994 and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1995. She is currently an assistant professor with the Faculté d'administration of the Université de Sherbrooke and teaches fiscal law at the master's level.
