The Canadian Tax Foundation-Jean Potvin Award for Quebec 2006-7

Joseph Armanious

The Canadian Tax Foundation is pleased to announce that Joseph Armanious is the winner of the CTF-Jean Potvin Award for the best Quebec student paper of 2006-7 dealing with an aspect of Canadian taxation. Mr. Armanious’s paper, "Subsection 164(6) Revisited," was written within the framework of the Master of Laws (taxation option) program at HEC Montréal/University of Montréal, from which he graduated in 2006. Mr. Armanious obtained his CGA designation in 2003 after graduating from Concordia University in 2000 with a bachelor of commerce degree. He has been working at the Canada Revenue Agency since 2001 and has been a tax manager/team leader since 2006. Mr. Armanious is also a lecturer in taxation at McGill University and at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
