The Canadian Tax Foundation-Jean Potvin Award for Quebec 2004-5

The Canadian Tax Foundation is pleased to announce that Cindy Harvey is the winner of the Canadian Tax Foundation-Jean Potvin Award for the best Quebec student paper of 2004-5 dealing with an aspect of Canadian taxation. Ms. Harvey's paper, "Où la fiction s'arrête-t-elle?" was written within the framework of the Master of Laws (taxation option) program at HEC University of Montreal, from which she graduated in 2004. She was awarded the Canadian Tax Foundation Scholar of the Year Award for 2004 for maintaining the highest grade average in the tax program; she received a similar award from the Montreal chapter of the Tax Executives Institute. Ms. Harvey holds a bachelor's degree in business administration in public accountancy (HEC, 2000) and a graduate diploma in public accountancy (HEC, 2001). She earned her CA designation in 2004. Ms Harvey is currently a tax manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Montreal.
