The Canadian Tax Foundation's conferences enable tax specialists in all areas of practice to develop their knowledge of particular aspects of the tax system and to exchange information and ideas with other tax specialists in business, academia, and government. The Conference Report is the report of the proceedings of the Foundation's annual conference, held every November. This conference is usually organized to include sessions on recent cases, tax policy, legislative and administrative developments, corporate taxation, international taxation, and other specialist areas. Papers in the Conference Report, which are based on the conference presentations, benefit from the authors’ discussions with other specialists during the conference. The Conference Report is published in book form.
The Foundation also publishes binders of unedited papers from several regional conferences (British Columbia, Prairie Provinces, Ontario, and Atlantic Provinces), and it occasionally publishes the proceedings of special-subject conferences that focus on major policy issues of immediate concern, related to tax and public economics.
